Hiatal hernia

A hiatal hernia occurs when a portion of the stomach protrudes up through the diaphragm into the chest. They are often accompanied by gastroesophageal reflux, which results when the stomach contents leak upwards into the esophagus. Hiatal hernias affect around 20% of people in the U.S. and 50% of people 50 years of age or older.

Designed to enable functional tissue remodeling for a strong repair
Phasix™ ST Mesh combines two market-leading technologies into one product: monofilament resorbable Phasix™ Mesh and a proven hydrogel barrier based on Sepra® technology. While the monofilament mesh supports functional healing and a strong repair, the hydrogel barrier minimises tissue attachment to the visceral side of the mesh for intraabdominal placement.
