Hernia prevention

Prevention through Intervention (May, 2025)

The symposium highlights the importance of preventing incisional hernia (IH) and long-term complications in colorectal surgery patients, with the aim of improving post-operative quality of life. The sessions will present the latest scientific evidence and best practices for IH prevention, in colorectal surgery in general, then more specifically in ileostomy reversal, offering a comprehensive overview of preventive strategies.

The symposium provides a valuable opportunity to gain insights into evidence-based preventive strategies, fostering a multidisciplinary approach to improve outcomes in colorectal patients.
