data-contrast=\"auto\">The 2022\u201323 influenza season was particularly severe, after two winters with relatively low influenza infection rates.<\/span><sup><span data-contrast=\"auto\">4<\/span><\/sup> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">Last influenza season began sooner, reached an earlier peak in positivity than the four preceding seasons and widespread influenza activity lasted for a longer period of time than the 2021\u201322 influenza season.<\/span><sup><span data-contrast=\"auto\">5<\/span><\/sup><span
